-J include Wes, the retired gunfighter; Fran, the intellectual philosopher; Mike, the skilled craftsman; and Alex, the fun-loving cowboy. Sylvia, the teen-aged sister, strives to be respected as much as the men in her family are. There is also a young town marshal, Nick Fain, who is smart, but untested. This is the story of each, and how they live and love and fight against the evil forces that surround them. As the vandalism and murder continues, each member of the Jason family will face a crises, alone. In each case, it will be a matter of life or death.
Biografía del autor
Alden L. "Chuck" Dumas has always been a fan of westerns. He began making up stories when he was ten. "Sons of the Double-J," a work involving several interweaving plots, was written as a challenge in 1985. Since then many friends have read the draft, enjoyed the story, and it is because of their encouragement this work has been published. Alden Dumas was born in Tupper Lake, N.Y. in 1940, and graduated from Tupper Lake High School in 1958. In 1962 he graduated from SUNY Cortland and spent 34 years as a teacher of physical education, science, and social studies. He also coached girls' and boys' teams in soccer, basketball, and baseball; first in McGraw, N.Y. (1962-1970), and then Keene Valley, N.Y. (1970-1996). He and his wife Pauline raised three sons, Matthew, Jay, and Andrew. This is his second published novel. It follows the thrilling Adirondack action-adventure, "Mists of the Couchsacrage," that was published in 2003.
